“Art and love are the same thing: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you”  ― Chuck Klosterman

Some see art as a one way street of what the art piece is projecting onto the viewer. This is only true when you simply look at the artwork and move on. The connection, the tension and the love that happens when the right piece of art meets its better half, is emotional, passionate and messy. This is the kind of art I hope to create. Not one artist can touch the soul of every viewer, but as long as I can create art that moves at least one soul, it was all worth it.

I was a rebellious two year old rampaging through the house straight into a chest with an open paint canister. My mother's eyes widened in horror as the canister went flying into the air, spilling the blue paint all over my head and my white dress. Turns out, this was my first art project.

This was also the moment that filled me with curiosity. Overcome with wonder, I wanted to paint and stick my hands into anything I could mold or play with. Paint, chalk, mud. I loved it all.

As the years went by, I immersed myself into various forms of arts, hungry to try anything and everything: painting, dance, sculpture. I even established a successful photography business.  But then life happened and art became secondary. I graduated from university, got a 9 to 5 job that paid well and one that I truly enjoyed. Only unforeseen circumstances at work made me question the path I was on. Frustrated, confused and lost, I once again turned to art. Handing in my resignation a little while later, I decided to go all in, head first, without hesitation.

The rest is history.
